Hotels in the San Francisco Bay Area

I've stayed in 4 hotels in the Bay Area:

- Homestead Studios - not as bad or noisy as everyone said.

- Fairfield Inn (Marriott) very loud from being squeezed between 101 and San Carlos airport. Its only redeeming feature if the pool area.

- Towneplace Suites San Carlos right by San Carlos airport - only stay here if you get a room facing the bay.

- Four Seasons Palo Alto. Very nice, good views from upper floors. Gym /spar area. Nice if someone else is paying. When I was there so was Justin Timberlake, curiously enough.

Montreal, Canada

Well they said it would be cold, and it certainly is. Minus 15 to minus 8 Celsius.
Last night I arrived in time to see the office lights before everyone went home. Tonight there should be a lunar eclipse.

Hotels in Zurich, Switzerland

I've stayed in 3 hotels in Zurich:

- Hotel Opera - nice

- Hotel Europe - sorry not nice, do not stay here if you don't like spiders!

- Hotel Seefeld - nice but too warm! Also the trams run on Seefeldstrasse until quite late, and start early, so it can be noisy.

The London Eye

On a spring morning, with a touch of fog around, the London city scene looks monochrome.

As the sun catches the glass, the London Eye twinkles.
